What is Plaquenil?

Plaquenil is a medication utilized for the treatment or prevention of malaria, which is an illness caused by parasites transmitted through mosquito bites. Hydroxychloroquine, the active ingredient in Plaquenil, may not work against all malaria strains or in regions where the infection has become resistant to a related medication known as chloroquine.
